Our view is that if the user has to think about how to use the software, then they are not focusing on servicing their customer.
You'll shape Kaptio’s product experience working with cross-disciplinary teams to bring your visions to life. You’ll make an impact while solving meaningful problems and creating new design patterns and paradigms.
Kaptio is an international company with 3 core office hubs in Iceland, UK amp; Belarus, with users in every corner of the world.
You will be responsible for:
- Creating, designing, and communicating the platform’s visual and functional user experience by using an advanced understanding of digital product design and the business issue it should solve.
- Designing storyboards, wireframes, and prototypes in close collaboration with stakeholders and supporting others in delivering polished final product across multiple releases.
- Ensuring that the product and all design deliverables are coherent and aligned to business needs by leading all design collaboration by working closely with and leveraging feedback from stakeholders.
- Creating and maintaining design guidelines and patterns and communicate how these address business requirements.
- Balancing a detailed and high-level view of projects and ideas and communicating on both spectrums to stakeholders.
- Leading the design workflow and the selection of appropriate tools.
- Prioritizing and managing design workload and delegating work to others, including external designers where applicable.
Requirements
Ideal track record and competencies:
- A solid track record of designing web-based applications (SaaS).
- Expertise in creating and maintaining web component systems, using, selecting, and implementing a variety of design tools like Sketch or InVision, etc.
- Demonstrated success in designing software products from user research.
- Capable of taking a highly creative yet practical approach to identifying and solving business challenges.
- Persuasive and clear when communicating ideas and views in English, in person, writing, or when working with remote colleagues. Capable of addressing clearly how a design addresses business requirements.
