Job Description

We seek a highly skilled and motivated IT Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess good technical and communication skills and a solid commitment to providing top-notch support for our employees and customers. As an IT Support Specialist, you will join the IT Operations team in a fast-growing company with a global presence.

The duties of an IT Support Specialist include:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all IT tickets, providing timely and professional support to users.
  • Participate in daily operations of computer systems, including server hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Maintain backups and redundancy to ensure data security and accessibility.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high-performance levels, availability, and security.
  • Investigate and analyze reported incidents to determine the root cause, utilizing various diagnostic tools and methods.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation regarding system configuration and network mapping.
  • Communicate effectively with users, informing them of progress, notifying about impending changes, and alerting about potential service disruptions.
  • Collaborate with other IT / Security team members to share knowledge, identify trends, and develop strategies for preventing future incidents.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in incident response and IT support, and recommend improvements to existing processes and tools.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or equivalent experience required.
  • 3-5 years of system administration experience.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, committed to maintaining high user satisfaction.
  • Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
  • Understands the needs of users, as well as considerable knowledge of Information Technology.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users.
